Applications are currently CLOSED.
They are set to open as soon as reserves are full, and will be due Friday, July 4th, at 11:59PM MST.
Please post your applications below. Applications are screened, so as to avoid any spoiling of potential betrayals and whatnot.
RESERVES ARE NECESSARY FOR APPLICATION.
Please post your app with the journal you intend to play with!
Application Form: Fill this out and post it in it's own reply below.
-OOC Information-
Player Name: What's your name?
Player Age: What's your age? (Must be over 18 in order to apply)
Contact: Where can we find you? Plurk and discord are preferred, but anywhere you can be easily messaged is acceptable.
-IC Information-
Character Name: Who're you playing?
Character Age: What's their age?
Canon: Where are they from?
Canon Point: WHEN are they from? Try to be a bit more specific here with the episode number or moment in the plot. As well as whether your character happened to be dead/dying at the time :).
Reserve Link: Please ensure your reserve is under the same journal you're using to app with.
Bottom Line: Describe your character in a paragraph or less! Treat this like you're selling someone else on the character, providing a quick explanation of who they are and what their deal is.
Suitability: The part where you describe how your character can fit into a murdergame. These games aren't necessarily for any character (Though, you're welcome to try), and here is the part where you explain what your character could bring to the table. Naturally, this isn't asking that every character be a gritty, adult action hero, but it's part of seeing whether your teenage adventurer is able to handle this kind of horror - and, more specifically, whether YOU are able to handle a quick-paced setting with elements of death and danger.
History: Please provide a wiki link, or link to any site with information on your character. If none exist, you can write a history section in bullet points.
Personality: The meat and potatoes of the app! Tell us who your character is! We won't be asking for a book essay about them, just a decently-sized elaboration about what's going on in your character's head. Just don't make this under 100 words, okay?
Abilities: Please list whatever special skills your character is capable of. This is an important part of the app; these can be supernatural powers, or regular abilities they're skilled at, and will be considered going forward with the character's title.
While powers won't be necessarily removed for this game, those that could conceivably break the game setting may be nerfed, at least to a degree, upon apping.
Title: Upon arrival, your character will receive a title bestowing godhood over a dominion befitting to them. Here, you can suggest titles you believe would fit them! Or! You could leave it up to the mods to create a title for them.
Try to dig deep into what symbolizes your character. What makes them, them. It can be things, concepts, or even places.
God powers: Pick no more than four powers maximum that you would feel interested in exploring with your character as they become a god. Also provide some explanation for why you may think these powers would be fitting for them!! Upon being accepted, you'll be given one of these powers to utilize in the game proper.
Regains: List five to ten physical items you’d like your character to recover from home. Each should be formatted as "ITEM NAME - A short description" two sentences, tops.
Two regains out of the ten can be designated as "Renewables" that can be regained semi-indefinitely. Please mark them as such in your app.
Motives: What would drive your character to take risks? To cause problems? To kill?
Sample: Here's the other most important part of the app. Show us your stuff! The sample can be any five tags from the test drive, or other place on Dreamwidth within the last three months. Or you can just write a sample in here. Either case, it needs to show your grasp on the character.
Plot Involvement: Are you interesting in having a more direct involvement in the ongoing plot? Please note that this could require a heavier focus on activity.
Case Involvement: If you want to volunteer for a specific case, please mark that here. Note that while we do our best to accommodate all players, cases are typically a first-come-first-serve situation. Also note here whether you would prefer to be a culprit, victim, or no preference.
Other: Please put a funny meme here, or any of your legitimate concerns or questions.
